The 3000 yen departure tax from Japan is not limited to tourists, btw. Residents, including Japanese citizens, also pay it.

Visit Japan QR code is pure BS. Last week, passengers with VJ had much longer lines at immigration than those without. I spent over an hour in the line. It doesn't help; most employees were Filipinos, Vietnamese, Nepalese, etc.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRexbMheIvo&t=553">9:13</a> the Philippine flag isn't Russia. Also Philippines, though requires a visa, isn't charged a visa fee per se for tourists. The travel agents who do process the visa charge a fee, but the embassy does not.
