Fun Fact:<br>In the book "The ABCs of Baseball" L is for Linda Ronstadt. In Major League Baseball of the early eighties the term for a pitch so fast it left batters, watching it go by for a strike was a "Linda Ronstadt", because the pitch just "blew by you".

People comment on her wide range of genres. Often overlooked is the fact that she put in serious study and practice time into getting those genres correct. In wasn't just all natural talent, but lots of hard work.

her ability to go from genre to genre without missing a beat was magnificent. Her voice was a natural for big band sounds as well as country ballads.
