Linda is easily one of the greatest singers in all of music. The members of the Eagles were originally members of her band. I recommend her songs “You’re No Good” and “Long, Long Time”

Dolly Parton once said that Linda Ronstadt is the only singer she has ever met who was so versatile, that she could sign any song in any genre and make it sound beautiful.

Willie Nelson once said, "There are two types of men in the world: those that love Linda Ronstadt, and those that never heard of her."
For a truly heartbreaking song, you need to check out "Long, Long, Time."

Linda Ronstadt is a once in a lifetime vocalist. Nobody sounds like her. Her voice is so powerful and at the same time so effortless. I've been listening to her since I was a kid in the 70s and her vocal performances still move me. Sadly, a very cruel degenerative disease similar to Parkinson's took away her ability to perform before we were ready to stop listening to her. I heard that recently, she is no longer able to speak. I hope she that she will always know, until her last day, how much joy she gave us, and how much we still love her, even if she can't sing to us anymore.

In the 70's, EVERY MAN on Planet Earth was hopelessly, painfully in love with Linda Ronstadt. I know, I was there.

There a lot of us oldsters who really like you Aileen, you're so willing to learn about past music, and you have a positive vibe. Linda has 11 Grammys and many other awards. She fought the producers wanting her to continue to be a hit machine, only in country and rock music. and won. She did big band vocal music, Mariache t[Mexican music, part of her heritage], light opera [on stagthe record labels and execs had to be dragee dinto e in the Pirates of Penzance], duets, trios, and made her male producers/execs and record labels MORE money than they would have otherwise. Linda was excellence, and record execs had to be dragged into that excellence kicking and screaming....what a bunch of deaf dummies. She blazed a trail for other women singers to have more control over their musical destiny. I was a school music teacher. Linda steps inside a song and owns it.

I've watched a few of these reaction vids to this song and I appreciate how you express the emotional impact of this song. It's musically beautiful but also so emotionally expressive.
