The saddest part isn’t pushing people away.
It’s believing you’re a burden while trying to protect the people you love.
That paradox hurts

This title feels painfully real. So many people don’t push others away because they don’t care — they do it because they care too much. They don’t want to be a burden, don’t know how to explain the mess inside, and choose distance over vulnerability. If you’ve ever done this, you’re not cold — you’re overwhelmed. :face-purple-crying::face-purple-crying::face-purple-crying::face-purple-crying::face-purple-crying:

You can really tell how much effort went into making this. It shows.

This is very true. Aside from this there are people who are insincere. you know those who truly cares about your well being their actions will speak for it.

If you have a friend who is an Introvert, they are especially vulnerable to this. They are also the best at healing others who are suffering like this, because they empathize.

Me as a 44-year-old man that was born in the 80s, especially when people are not considered of the energy level that I'm at at the time, and I'm too exhausted to explain and get them up to speed as an intj male 🥴😏😔💚

Sure wish I could’ve been emotionally mature enough to understand this decades ago.
Sitting here alone with my regrets of the sabotaged relationships I retreated from … in the exact same manner this video describes.
This video is so true, I hope younger people who react this way can humble themselves enough to understand this video …. and push themselves HARD enough to change .
It was me , my actions (exactly like this video) that put me here. Fighting my brain so hard to change .. connection is the key !! … as I sit here alone … haha
This video is TRUTH

Sometimes people don't want to be left alone—they just don't want to feel like a burden.

I always feel it when a shutdown is coming. My baseline is deep depression but I do go through acute depressive episodes from time to time where I completely shut down. The first signal is I start spending more time in bed. I go from 6-7 hours a day at the beginning to 20 hours a day at its peak and then gradually back to 6-7 hours a day over a period of about two weeks. Another signal is the gradual shutdown of social interactions as social performance becomes very taxing and exhausting. The 3rd one is I start eating less and less due to loss of appetite and a desire to reduce bathroom visits which feel like climbing a mountain. At its deepest, I may force myself to eat 300 kcal a day. Without force, I would go zero kcal easily.

I never realized that pushing people away wasn’t just me being ‘difficult’… it actually makes so much sense now.😂
