  Love the story telling, but you did leave out that one of the shot putters was running so that his &quot;TEAM&quot; had enough participation to be scored as a team. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;That was actually an amazing part of the story you left out.

  15 seconds isn&apos;t actually that slow to the typical person; most people would look at that guy running that hard in isolation and go &apos;wow, he&apos;s pretty quick&apos;

  To add another perspective : Joshua Cheptegei when setting the world record for 10000 meters ran, on average, every 100 meters in 15.7 seconds &nbsp;pretty much the same as the first featured athlete Sogelau Tuvalu ran for a single 100m sprint. I&apos;m a reasonably fit adult and can cycle 100 miles in a day without any great stress, but I recall once working out that Mo Farrah was running his races faster than I can sprint (running) flat out ....

  I believe that the track and field events at the Olympics would have a lot more media appeal if every race had one normal person competing alongside
