Middle of August in Southeast Arkansas is still a very hot time. Isn't it hard on the Queen and possibly others bees to treat when the temps are still in the upper 90°s??

I treated bees late outumn, not a strong colony, about 4 or 5 frames, then o counted fallen mites, no less then 200. Surprisingly, colony survived to next season.

SAD, That America has a Veroa Mite problem.....<br><br>I have never even seen a Veroa Mite here in South Africa. Too hot?<br>Too humid? Tough African bees? (Apis Melifera Capensis)<br><br>Also, I use horizontal hives Langstroth hives are sadly not very insulating (think of bees in a hollow tree....... Perfect insulation.<br><br>BUT when one farms bees then one must expect the diseases just like in all factory farming 😢😢😢
