  Being ok with being the 'bad guy' was liberating. I no longer need to try to 'right' or redress the narrative

  They are impossible to communicate in a healthy way they use gaslighting (distorting the truth&reality) & projection (accuse you of things they do themselves) ; refuse to take your feelings into consideration;zero accountability for toxic abusive manipulative behaviour; the only option is no contact 💔😓

  This is the most spot-on take I've ever come across regarding pathologizing victims of narcissistic abuse. So perfectly and articulately stated. What makes this even more insidious is when the narcissist is able to convince everyone in the victim's circle of their false accusations/conclusions. It feels like another form of soul-murder for the victim, and oftentimes leaves them more traumatized than they were by the narcissist's direct abuse. This is coming from someone who's experienced this first hand. Pathologizing the victim/smear campaigns are type of hell that no one should have to endure.

  I finally see these red flags after 50 years.  I had a lot more general trust in people, now it’s earned.  Also, I quickly learned to stop telling people what I’m thinking so much.  What you say will be held against you in the future by these types.
