Awesome video. Thanks for taking the time. I thought to calibrate the tone arm you needed a blank vinyl and you adjust height, anti skate etc so it sits dead still?

What is the original diameter of the bore before you drilled out? Could you have used a 5mm honing bit? What about a 4.9mm flat bottom bit?

I've got an SL 1210 mk2 which came with a broken dust cover and the screw on the top bearing was loose during shipping as it seems.<br>I carefully tightened it back up just right to the point where the tonearm stops rattling.<br>It seems to move fine now, anti skating pulls the arm back as it should and the tracking seems alright.<br>However i noticed, the tracking force doesn't match my first SL 1200 mk2.<br>I set the first one to 3g using a digital scale, did the same thing on the other turntable, but in order to achieve the same tracking force, the counterweight has to move forwards quite a lot more compared to the other turntable.<br>If i use the scale on the counterweight itself, it's roughly 0,5g missing.<br>Also swapped the Concorde pickups around, but doesn't change anything.<br><br>So i was wondering if there's something wrong with it despite tracking and moving fine.<br>A new tonearm costs 250 bucks, would suck to replace the whole thing.
