  I passed my test in a 1975 allegro, it was a complete nightmare. It was my Mothers brand new car, bought to replace a 1971 Morris 1300, which was by a country mile a better car. It wouldn't tick over without keeping the choke out a tiny bit, and wouldn't do 30 MPH in 4th gear on a level road without jerking all over. How I passed is beyond me, I was nervous to start with and the car problems had me in a right state. It was without doubt the very worst car we ever had, and she only kept it 12 months and took a massive loss on it.

  There was one thing that could send my Mrs into Hypertension and that was a Allegro. Hated them with a passion.

  Hi mate , first video of yours ive seen, loved it! i know these cars get/got alot of stick , but the fact these have survived says it all, i love all old cars and the fact theres people like you keeping them going is great!<br>if you have explained in previous vids my apologies , i&apos;ll watch others soon.<br>so Lennie is your Allegro? &nbsp;have you bought this bluebell? or found it?<br>will this be a parts car for yours? or are you keeping both? loving the roof! infact love the car lol <br>vids like this also give me hope re my 10 year old car with little imperfections from before i bought it are nothing! as long as it runs and is road worthy the rest dont matter.<br>have subscribed , will continue watching this vid , before watching the others and lookforward to seeing whats to come.<br>All the best with them

  One drive by with an ANPR camera and the car will be taken away on a low loader. No tax, no MOT, no insurance, even it&apos;s on a SORN it has to be off road. Lucky you haven&apos;t been fined.

  Awesome! Just curious about the dashboard; I&apos;ve never seen an Allegro before with three instruments in the small (early) 2-clock binnacle. Is it original or an owner mod? Since this is on an R plate, is it a changeover design?

  Hi mate. &nbsp;Not trying to cause trouble as you might not be aware, &nbsp;but did you know its illegal to park a car in the road without mot, &nbsp;tax and insurance?
