  What the government should have said: &quot;the inverter must meet the following regs/specs to make it safe to plug into the grid&quot;. &nbsp;That&apos;s it. That&apos;s everything.<br><br>This reminds me of the government grant to get your house insulated. &nbsp;They insisted that only approved suppliers could do it. &nbsp;Which instantly made the cost to install insulation triple. &nbsp;And which instantly made &nbsp;it unworkable and the whole thing failed miserably.

  Wow. Local shop near me in the Netherlands sells a similar set, two panels &amp; inverter &amp; wiring, for €350. Install it wherever you want. Why does the UK always do things the silly way?

  Another enlightening video, thanks.<br>The UK says no and has put a load of unnecessary and arbitrary barriers in place.<br>I&apos;m not interested in plug-in solar until batteries are included 😂<br>Octopus appear to be putting a lot of resources into promoting them, so hopefully it won&apos;t be too long.

  I just had rooftop solar installed last week and it&apos;s amazing. I was just checking in to see how plug in solar is going as I think it&apos;s a really good idea. It&apos;s not going well. The government has rushed though a dodgy version of plug in solar so they could get it in place just in time for........ Winter ❄️. Why didn&apos;t they just take the extra time to get the whole lot in place with batteries, and have it ready by spring 27?
