I put my dog down a year ago and my vet was great for telling me that there could be movement after calling it and luckily there was not. But he also had the entire staff from the animal hospital in the room, the entire time, and until we put a sheet over her and moved her to a gurney to be cremated. Im with you regarding the absolute pain of saying goodbye to your fur baby. It hits like no other. My heart goes out. ❤❤

Retired home hospice nurse. Your profession was always praised in our circle. Not easy. Much respect.

I never knew death could be so amusing until I started watching this channel.

A video about Rasputin's death and the rumors surrounding the preservation of some of his body parts after his death would be an interesting watch!!

One of the men I worked with at our local coroner's office retired and started a pet cremation service. He said he saw more genuine grief with people and their pets than he ever did with the human family members. I'm so sorry for your loss...

I held one of my cats while he was being “put to sleep” and he kept purring for quite a while after his heart had stopped. The doctor was reassuring me that he was gone, but I wouldn’t let them take him until it quit. It was pretty jarring.

I was at a funeral and the person doing the funeral died. Swear to God. Fell in the hole.
They moved him over. Called a small time out and his son took over.
It was the strangest experience i have ever been through. The first officiant was old so they just moved him over and covered him. The paramedics came but they tried not to be disruptive. The poor man was gone so they just stood there not doing much.
Still remember the rain, what i was wearing, the shock, the screams. It was a funeral that was remarkably memorable.

The biggest honor my husband and I were ever given was being with our friend’s 17 year old son as he was cremated . Cancer really truly does SUCK . I will always treasure that honor .

Hi Lauren and community, I just had to put my cat of 13 years down. She had developed cancer at age 14. I had no idea, the vet just slammed me with it. She had only a few painful weeks left. I had to make a loving and compassionate decision to put her down. It hurts, and its been 3 weeks and I miss her every day. She had a favorite pillow where she slept by me at night, and I cant bring myself to launder it. It feels like .... when I do .... I lose another part of her. I can relate to your heartbreak. When you can, talking about it helps. Its ok to cry on camera, we got you. Your our morbid mortician. We share a family here. You help our pain to get lighter. 💔 😭

I have a lot of respect for funeral directors and morticians. It’s a hard job, especially when dealing with the family members.

One of my dog’s names is Lola. She’s 12, and as soon as you said, “Come here, Lola!” She got up and came to me as if I were calling for her. Presh. 🥰
