Cliff Burton wrote the middle section of this song for his dad, Ray, who told him that he liked Metallica's music but the one thing he could criticize is that Metallica didn't have any music that he could dance with his wife to. So Cliff wrote Ray Burton a waltz

One of their best. RIP Cliff Burton.<br>A stellar piece of music that truly feels like another plane of existence. The fade in/out gives the impression that the song never ended , but that you merely fell out of it's grace.

Cliff Burton was the true soul of Metallica. He was the high-water mark. They never truly recovered from losing him.<br><br>RIP Cliff Burton, possibly one of the most talented metal composers to ever exist, and lost way too soon.
