  That capacitor reading of 1.2 on a 5 microfarad terminal is pretty telling - a weak cap on the fan side can absolutely cook a motor over time. And the dirty evaporator coil masking refrigerant charge readings is exactly the kind of thing that gets missed when someone just hooks up gauges and starts adding refrigerant without looking at the whole system first. The point about checking amp draw on the common wire is solid and worth remembering.   if you loosen the schrader extractor part's fitting just enough so that it doesn't leak, it decompresses the o-ring and let's the schrader pass through. I do use the same twist technique too. I learned this from ACServiceTech

  The valve core removal tools that came with my BluVac hose kit has never let me down. I think they are Accutools core removers. The appion ones always let me down.

  You mentioned the other day that one of your probes you don&apos;t trust, have you ever thought about using some of that blue monster emory cloth on the copper line for a few seconds and see if it will be more accurate?
