  Two rules for hourly HVAC techs when in school mid 90’s. 1) Always drive the speed limit. 2) Always time to talk with customer. This is the second episode I’ve seen where the customer needs to talk to someone. Congrats on actively listening to their concerns. A real class act!

  Cleaning those coils will lower that guy&apos;s power bill tremendously; that alone will make a huge difference for him long-term.

  Way back in the 70s my mom had a problem with her car not working and was just going to dump it, put it in the newspaper if anyone wanted to take it. She was ready to just take the bus to work. A mechanic answered the ad. Showed up for the car. Immediately realized what the problem was, saw the situation with my mom, left and came back a couple hours later with the part, fixed it and told her her car was good to go. She told him she didn’t have much money to pay him and he responded that he wasn’t asking for anything. Just maybe pay it forward someday. Decades later that still stays with me when i see people in need that i can help. Obviously can’t help everyone but if i can do it for a few bucks and/or just a bit of my time, it’s not even a debate.
