  I don’t care if Apocalypto is not 100% historically accurate. He combined some aspects of the Mayans and Aztecs together and made it interesting. With indigenous, not well known actors and original language, we’re lucky we even got to see a movie like this made. Top 10 movie on my list.

  In the Philippines, Apocalypto has become a legendary film especially for Cebuano speakers. They dubbed it in Cebuano and it became such a classic that most 25 year olds and above will surely recognize. The dub went for the comedic route and viewers had a fun time watching. It birthed memes and funny catchphrases. And it definitely became one of the most popular dubbed films in the country. 😂

  Apocalypto is no joke one of the best movies I have ever seen. I wish cinematography like this was a norm instead of once in a life-time event.

  My friend gave my a copy that had no subtitles and I thought it was supposed to be like that so I watched it the first time that way…. I completely understood the whole movie and when I watched it with subtitles I was surprised at how accurate my interpretation was

  He's right, we aren't too far behind them. People will cheer on a person getting savagely beaten and record it, instead of helping. Hell they won't even call the police to help.

  Guatemalan American here, never knew this was a movie but this video title spoke to me. It’s a shame Hollywood is all about big name actors and money. Probably everyone knows that by now but glad there are directors who do real research and go out of their way to get people who lived in a place for many thousands of years. I do hope more people will do more of these kinds of films.

  Apparently, there are many inaccuracies in this movie, but aspects such as the costumes and language are accurate and make the film feel authentic. I like this movie.
