  Not to discredit you you obviously worked hard and earned everything you have but your Dad owning a business and showing you the ropes at a young age is an invaluable asset and advantage to have.

  I'm 42, but unlike a lot of old guys, I have a soft spot for young people and would try and teach them and help them learn as much as possible

  One thing that I learned over the years of working construction is, you’re going to work with alot of degenerates. I would always get frustrated and pissed off at them and try to make them look as stupid as possible because it upset me that they were treating my passion as an easy money grab. Let me tell you I was very wrong for acting/thinking like that. It is not becoming to your image/ reputation and you will only make a lot of enemies. Although it’s hard, being genuine and over looking peoples flaws will make the most insufferable people all of the sudden friendly. For my God fearing brothers out there. Be the light💪🏼

  Hate the construction stigma, No I didn’t end up in construction I had every tool I needed to go to university, I chose this industry and I f**ing love it. I’m not always drunk, I’m not a big macho though guy, I’m not stupid. I’m just in love with mathematics and I found a job where I spend the day outside talking with people and doing what office people call labor. For me it’s closer to an hobby than labor. I chose where I am and it’s the smartest thing I did after liking this video and subscribing to Jarod 😂. Keep the great work Jarod love those type of videos 👊

  I&apos;m 29 racked up college debt , no house, shitty car and my first year as an apprentice framer no prior experience but school. its constant learning &amp; doing the grunt work but I love it so far and I&apos;m happy where I&apos;m at! TY for the video

  An important point you made about is exercise. I used to do kickboxing for years, but never went to the gym. I had chronic back pain. Even when i stopped the back pain didn&apos;t. It only stopped when started lifting weight

  if you truly do work hard you will never have an issue with anyone in construction. And if you do those people are not worth your time. Don&apos;t put up with anyone&apos;s bullshit, keep learning, and keep searching until you find the place for you. Construction is one of the most fulfilling industries the world has to offer and has no ceiling.

  The best advice I can give new guys in the trades is no matter what have a good attitude. Even if you’re frustrated or burnt out or whatever. If you have a smile on your face and your happy to be there it’s gonna make the other people you work along side with enjoy working with you. Also being a carpenter or a framer isn’t something you can fake until you make it. If you don’t know how to do something or don’t understand the instructions, ask questions to the more experienced guys. Trust me they would rather have to explain it or show you how to do it then have to come back and fix something that you did wrong. Also never ever get to a point where you stop learning. I’ve been doing this for 8 years and I learn something new everyday. Never get stuck in your ways. There’s more than one way to do everything and take that mentality with you as you progress in this trade. It’s a fantastic way to make a living being able to stand back at the end of a long day and look at what you completed.
