Amazing. A plant manager that started at the bottom and worked to the top. He actually knows what he's doing unlike most managers. I'm sure the employees are happy.

Gorman 1x boards are always high quality, in an industry full of hockey stick boards this place stands out as top tier in my mind

Keeping up with the times. Very impressed. Especially how it has remained a locally owned business throughout.

I love the value added by utilizing the trim ends, during my career with MB, Weyerhaeuser and WFP the amount of usable and beautiful wood turned into chips was shocking! This video shows how our timber resources can be properly utilized.

I’m an amateur woodworker, they do produce some nice boards, I can proudly say I’ve used their products many times.

Gorman planks are not sold everywhere, but if you can find them, like at a local Home Hardware lumber yard, do take note. The Gorman quality shows in every board so it eliminates all of the endless searching through the average crap lumber piles to find just a few decent boards ..and it is a great value for doing all kinds of builds. I have used their boards for flooring, inside walls, board and batten outside walls, strapping and endless smaller woodworking projects. If you are a discerning carpenter you will know what I am talking about. Thanks for the tour of their mill, what an amazing place. Always wondered about the waxed ends, but it makes great sense.

As an old sawmill worker, it's good to see what new innovations they have in mills today.

Thanks for this! Have driven by that mill for decades looking at all those lifts of boards lined up and separated. Now I know that they are waiting for the kiln. Wonderful that a locally started business is still making money and producing a quality product. High value 1X10X12 boards look beautiful and bring in big dough for the company!
