Suggesting to use a SMR drive in a NAS is the last thing i would do. Its been known for a long time that its terrible for drive endurance.<br>Especially in a NAS where if 1 drive fails and you need to rebuild your array there is a significant increased change of another drive dying which, depending on your config, could lead to losing all your data.
