  The transmission issue you talk about is most likely all software related. They could always adjust it in the future. But for me I'll hold off on buying until they address the problems. Thanks for the video update.

  I am 8K miles into my Tiguan R-Line and can say that I've had no problems with it.  It has been flawless in Arizona where I leave.  However, there seemed to be an oil leak coming from under the car. When I took it into the dealer, it wasn't an oil leak - it was the "sealer" or under-coating used for cars manufactured in Mexico.  Whew, I am glad that is wasn't a problem.  The dealer then gave me a free oil change.  Because this is my third brand new purchase of a VW (Jetta & Passat), my new Tiguan has lived up to my expectations.  Huh, I would buy it again when my lease us up in two more years.  Great Job VW!!!

  I bought a 2024 RLine out of necessity (long story) and I had my doubts, but in the end I love how it drives, the roominess, the comfort, it’s one of the best cars for the money I have ever owned, and I’m 71 so I’ve owned many over the years from the U.S, Japan, Germany, etc. I’ve done it all. I have had basically zero issues with my Tiguan, but a few that you mention ring true, so I thought your review was right on pretty much, but maybe a little tough regarding the transmission comments, but I agree with the suspension issues, which I thought was due to the low profile tires, but apparently maybe not. Anyway I have grown to love my Tiguan even with some of its glitches, nothing a reboot doesn’t solve, at least not yet !

  Thank you for this comprehensive, honest review. I’m considering buying a Tiguan, but there are clearly some issues to weigh.
