  Forget all these brands. The best chip is the simplist chip. <br>Cut your own potatoe into chip shapes boil with a teaspoon of olive oil till slightly soft. <br>Drain water add another teaspoon of olive oil, &nbsp;a light pinch of salt and spread on a baking tray. <br>Bake till crispy. Yum Yum Yum.

  I&apos;m not 100% sure if they&apos;re the same, but we have frozen McCain fries in the US. I&apos;ve found them at Walmart. Maybe worth a shot when you&apos;re feeling homesick.<br>Loving your adventures in the US!

  Thanks for an informative YT vid and &apos;YES&apos; I found &apos;Coles Simply Classic Straight Cut Chips&apos; a few years ago now and I think they are the best tasting chips from a bag out there, I even tell the folk who are filling the Coles freezers, &quot;you should try these chip they&apos;re great.&quot; Plus the detail on the wording &apos;Vegetable Oil&apos; I&apos;ve always steered clear through course of products with that written on them, thinking &quot;why don&apos;t you just name the blooming oil,&quot; but I was shocked to hear that term can be blends including palm oil. But there is one gripe I&apos;ve got and that is that you showed far to much stock footage repeatedly of deep fat fryers, were the majority of us if not all folk buying these chips like myself would be cooking them in the oven on a tray or in an air fryer probably over 97%. But these two most common appliances were no wear to be seen, which makes it all start to smell very much of &apos;Ai.&apos; It&apos;d be nice if You Tube had a strict ingredients list that you could turn over and read, finding out if a vid is create by real folk or if it&apos;s just a load of bytes out of chips with lots of pointless profit making fillers... ;)

  The best chips are made from real sliced potatoes and fried in beef dripping. The beef dripping usually leaves the potato when drained &nbsp;and can safely be used over and over again. People who are now in the older age group have always had their chips cooked this way. &nbsp;The taste is the real test. The shop chips are tasteless.
