  I have Arataki hives on my farm, they are a great family business , honest as the day is long, a great team of people. I cannot say enough good things about them.

  Thankyou for this information. I did some research a while back on NZ honey. I now buy Egmont RAW natural honey from Countdown. Its reasonably priced and they have a comprehensive website explaining the different ratings, where it comes from and a batch number. RAW honey doesn't go through filtration and has a unique flavour. Highly recommend viewers check out this company for yourselves.

  The MPI manuka test is a rort. When most Northland pure manuka honey is tested under this system it doesn't even pass as manuka. Yet if it is blended with the right clover honey it will then pass the test and can be sold as manuka.  It's just a jack up to allow southern big compnies to buy up Northland manuka then bulk it up with  the right kind of clover and export it at a huge profit.  Only bureaucrats  could come up with a solution as idiotic as this.

  There's a couple of bee keepers in my local town who show you their bees, where the bees forage in Pokeno, how they cold press their raw honey (Look into how spinning honey hurts the enzymes), the organic bee treatment they use, and the flora thats in the bees foraging area. They're a younge couple hoping to make a business and can be found at the local markets seasonally. They dont have many hives, so when they sell out, its all gone, nothing is heated and stored. I am waiting for them to come back to the local markets this december! Nothing taste better than real raw honey and it works so well for health.

  I have started using the free Kai App that shares information on what is actually in your food at the supermarkets. Glad to know i don&apos;t use any of these products
