For a ship to stay afloat 11 hours after getting a massive hole in the hull is impressive
Rest In Pease to all who were lost that night

The story of the two men trying to save the trapped woman with the hydraulic jack hit particularly hard for me. So many people doing what they could against the worst odds. Really well done sir, your videos never disappoint.

My father was a crewman on the William H. Thomas and took part in the rescue. He and other crewmen took a hydraulic jack by boat close to, or in to (I can't remember which) the gaping hole in the side of the Doria in an attempt to rescue a woman trapped in one of the destroyed cabins. He also had a camera with him and took footage of the Doria on their way to the rescue. His footage was used in a Discovery Channel documentary about 30 years ago, and he was referred to in the book Desperate Hours: The Epic Story of the Rescue of the Andrea Doria by Richard Goldstein, as Beep Beep Nichols. Just a little trivia for you.

I’d say this is this the best documentary to-date on the Andrea Doria

Along with those 46 people who died at least 22 more lives have been claimed diving to the Andrea Doria wreck.

This channel is criminally underrated. This is Netflix quality and should get millions of views.

I am going to be 83 next month. I remember this like it was yesterday. I was certain back then that a war between Italy and Sweden would break out at any minute

It's good that you said "actual artists, not AI." That's important, and those artists made (another) beautiful video. Good job!

Right as the Stockholm is finally meeting her end.

Farewell Andrea Doria and Stockholm, you'll always be remembered. Rest in peace for all the victims of this disaster.

No impractical ballroom dress and shoes — nor a sinking ship, for that matter — is going to stop a heroic mother on a mission. Respect! Ruth Roman, her son and nanny's story is a small positive on that dark night.

I’ve been television free since late December 1999. This would have changed that decision and I must add that in my humble opinion this channel’s work should be saved in The Library of Congress for future generations. Thank you everyone who had a part and to everyone else I ask your opinion on my suggestion. Thanks

The Andrea Doria is such a sad story. Another masterpiece from Tom and his team.
