Mum often told me that she made parts for Wellingtons, as her war work. A good job too; that's where she met Dad haha.

Speaking of Stanley Hooker, tell us about 'Miss Schilling's Orifice'

You have forgotten the PR Spitfires which flew over Berlin from early 1941 onwards being able to reach Poland and were invulnerable when operating at high altitude. There was also a Fighter Recce version of the Spitfire which had a range well in excess of the Fighter version.

Quite a few German planes landed intact in England.
The British deliberately deceived them by interfering with their electronics.
My father in law saw a brand new Me 110 night fighter land on a bomber base at night where he served as an electrician .
He said, among the confusion of returning bombers, the German pilot taxied where told and didn't realise his error until upon cutting his engines he found himself surrounded by armed RAF guards.

The Packard built Merlin had a 2 stage 2 speed supercharger which gave good high altitude performance. The Spitfire also had lower wing loading which works better at high altitude.

The Supermarine Spitfire was the most gorgeous plane that flew until the Sea Harrier leapt into the air.

Thank you for this content! I consider my knowledge of WW2 exstensive & this the first time I've seen these stories. Keep up the good work!

Equivalent to the Allies seeing German tanks and mistaking them as Tigers.

Once more the pictures have little relevance to the topic, it's crap. The Welkin didn't enter combat yet the thrust of the opening screens infer it did . . . neatly confusing a Westland Whirlwind and Welkin.

Why are you producing such rubbish?

I am sure there is a thread of truth in here somewhere. However, I prefer Authentic Intelligence over Artificial Intelligence.
