The man who won the Battle of Britain. He prepared the RAF before the war and during it. The Nation owes him everything. He was a visionary.

Bloody leigh Mallory was behind it. He was a disgraceful man. Dowding was outstanding. He cared deeply for his boys. Dowding is a true hero, the man who saved this country!!!

Hugh Dowding was a selfless man whose only interest was to defend Britain.<br>The politics that followed, and was allowed to happen from the very top, still is an absolute scandal to this day.<br>Without the input and indeed foresight from Hugh Dowding, I believe that Britain would have been overwhelmed and invaded.<br>God bless him and his memory.

As an ex RAF fast pilot we talk about Dowding and Parks.....ultimate respect....no one else. What came after was politics...not fighting.
