The characters in the bar in Yvel are all references to characters from the 80s sitcom Cheers, which takes place, you guessed it, in a bar.

This game blew my mind as a kid. So awesome. I stalled out at Castle Cimmeria but still remember it fondly

Just so you know, Nathaniel does survive and appears in Gladstone Keep in the third game, along with Victor's daughter Victoria, who is also a blacksmith.

like this 100times better than the later FMV stuff. the Westwood artstyle animation, the effects, even the font of text hold a special magic for me. timeless.

Takes place in the same universe as the Kyrandia games. You find letters from Scotia in Kyrandia 2.

Here's the patch I did to the game to make it possible to move while having the automap on:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NIriGRCrMmM

I did buy and play this when it was new, the CD ROM version. Loved it so much, it was the first game of this genre I completed. Decided to replay it now, and got through it in a few days. With Kieran of course. I was really impressed with the graphics, and music. Frank Klepacki’s tunes sound so good, and remind me of Dune 2 where he also did the music. I would recommend Lands of Lore to anyone new to the genre. It’s really accessible even for today’s gamer.

I can't imagine how hard it is to record videos in a submarine, so props to you for doing it!

Its not that the feral rat men are locking the "civilized" ones in, its that the civilized ones are locking the feral ones out. For their own safety.

When you go inside your house, are you being jailed by nature? No, you're keeping nature out.
