Wanda had an entire TV series explaining her power up...

One Punch Man does exactly this well. He's too powerful. He doesn't have fun being a superhero. So his arc is finding the joy in being a hero again...and/or finding a foe who can offer him a challenge.

If Tony's growing knowledge over tech science is enough to validate his power growth in his tech advancements. Then Wanda's growing knowledge over magical spells should be equally enough to explain her power growth in spell casting strength.

The darkhold makes wanda stronger too? Her progression is believable to me

Iron Man is a great film. Logan is, too.

That "click" of something sliding into place is whats really kept the anime "one piece" so satisfying to watch.

Superspeed is the biggest offender in power sets, additionally it's also the least realistic and operates more like time magic than superspeed.

Your argument was strong until you brought up Wanda and the Scarlett Witch. With regards to Wanda, are we going to act like between that explosion and Multiverse of Madness; that Avengers Infinity War, Endgame and WandaVision did not happen?

I'm enjoying these. My take away,  stories with overpowered characters are flawed and competent editors are essential.

What was really annoying to me about how Apocalypse fought back with Quicksilver is that he'd already demonstrated a better power to use against the speedster. Earlier in the film when he meets Magneto, to demonstrate that he hasn't arrived to save the humans he makes the floor either liquid or intangible so that all of the men sink into it. It's really fast, too. His eyes flash and they've sunk. This would have way more sense for him to do when Quicksilver is running around punching him. Instead he somehow is able to focus on where Quicksilver is, and command the ground to make a tendril to grab Quicksilver's leg. That would require him to be able to perceive time fast enough to accurately see where Quicksilver's leg is AND make the tendril move fast enough to wrap around his leg. Sinking ground would have been enough to surprise Quicksilver and likely trap him even at superspeed.
