I understand better now, why LED ZEP, is so much legendary in JAPAN! And, why they have the best bootlegs 👍✌️

1972, the year the man’s voice hit the heavens. After that, fate decided the job was done. The sacred comes like a storm and then fades, like rain that’s gotta fall on us.

It's a beautiful sunny morning where I live…but the insinuating power of this song made me “see” raindrops 💦 wetting the grass in the garden. Thanks ZBB, gorgeous choice 🤗

The first live performance of The Rain Song

Probably the best live performance of this song that I've come across second only to the '73 MSG TSRS. The '72 live performances, in my opinion, were their finest. The band was operating at their highest levels as a whole. Not necessarily each individuals peak but collectively it presented as their most fluid and pure; tight so-to-speak.

Plants' voice still carried and could hold the high notes. Pages' mind and play was sharp. Bonham maintained a controlled aggressiveness and JPJ was flawless (as usual).

How the West Was Won is another epic live collection of various '72 concerts.

This is my favorite Plant performance of the Rain Song. his voice wasn’t chewed up yet. Love Jimmy’s super tender approach here. The mellotron is flat, the tapes must have stretched. Touring with one was hell, they always had problems and weighed 500 lbs

I hope the trend of AI comes to these bootlegs, imagine having these remastered to the absolute cleanest while still keeping their raw energy and power?
