Jimmy's solo on this one is a masterpiece. The vocals are just incredible. I bought this album the week it first came out, back in 1979. It's one of the most underrated album of that era.

This guitar solo is like an open wound in the chest so deep that you can see the heart.

'In Through The Out Door' was truly John Paul Jones album. It was his baby. He had long been the talented Bassist / Keyboardist in the band, and yet somehow always in the background, and apparently happy to be so, but with 'In Through The Out Door' he saw his opportunity to step forward, and he did so - taking control during the recording sessions for this brilliant, underrated album, while the rest of the band battled various drug addictions, and so with Jones in control, the Keyboards also took a step forward, and the result was yet another different direction for the band, in a career that had often saw many different directions, and yet the band were very rarely ever given any credit by the critics for those experimental journeys into heavy, and light, Celtic, and Moroccan. Blues, and Rock. Classical, and Country. This was a band that could do it all, and they did, and the last studio album in their catalog did not disappoint. 'In Through The Out Door' - Another masterpiece. Well done Jonesy.

Last song on their last album. What a way to end the discography to one of the greatest bands of all time!

It makes sad that when it comes to Led Zeppelin most people think of Whole Lotta Love,Stairway to heaven etc which are amazing songs but this song rarely gets mentioned of what a masterpiece it is Robert Plants Vocals,Jimmy Page's guitar work, The Keyboards everything.

Led Zeppelin unknowingly recorded one of the most fitting final songs on a final album.
