This is so good! I haven't heard Mc Laughlin use such expressive, vocal phrasing since 'Electric Guitarist' from the mid-70s. Nathan East's son is an amazing musician, wow!

I will never forget hearing the Mahavishnu Orchestra back in the early 70s. My brother got into their music back then. I remember wondering how that style of Jazz Fusion music was even created. It was at a total other level than any rock music was. John and Larry Coryell were the pioneering guitarists of Jazz Fusion. Then quickly came along was Bill Connors, Al Di Meola, Allan Holdsworth, and Pat Metheny. These guys were all stellar guitarists.

I fist saw John in his Meeting of the spirits video with Paco de Lucia Larry Coryell and thought it was great. He was one of the top guys back then, and great to see him still performing.
