The 427 single overhead cam was never pitted against the Hemi. And it was specifically made to go after the Hemi which dominated in 1964. But just like the hemi. Four did not put that engine in any car in the year 1965 because it was December when they actually came out with it for the 65 season. That's when it was eliminated because of the fact that Ford was not putting it in any cars and they had already been banned the Hemi for about a year or two before Chrysler was putting the Hemi in enough street cars to be able to qualify to use the engine. If Ford wanted to use the camera engine. All I had to do is start putting it into the cars. But they didn't want to follow the concept of the fact that you have to build the engine and put it into stock cars in order for you to be able to run it in a stock car race. The Hemi was so powerful that they actually had to start putting spoilers on the backs of the cars. Because it would literally Lyft halfway down the back stretch at Daytona when they were in the original 66 charger which was built specifically for the Hemi engine. Cars before that. We're being forced to go so fast that you could not actually turn the car unless you slowed it down before the end of the back stretch at Daytona or you were going to be the next smudge on the wall. The front wheels literally could be turned lock to lock and it would not turn the car. That's how powerful the Hemi and the 427 single overhead cam engines were.<br>For years the worst thing in NASCAR was the Franz family.

The 7/8 scale car is not real it never was it would have been completely noticeable if he had he always have said this wasn't real and there's no evidence that ever was there's not a picture of it nothing so it never happened it was just a rumor on one of the cars that he built that was super aerodynamic
