I like the parts of the video where you specified that he's only weak at high level play. I agree!<br><br>Capcom publicly releases character winrates in ranked through "Buckler's Bootcamp."<br>The latest stats are for January 2025.<br>In Rookie Honda is top 4.<br>In Iron Honda is top 3.<br>In Bronze Honda is top 2.<br>In Silver Honda's top 1.<br>In Gold Honda's top 1.<br>In Platinum Honda's top 1 (60% winrate!!!).<br>In Diamond Honda's top 1.<br>In Master Honda's top 1.<br>That was just for Classic control type.<br>If you filter by Modern and Classic together Honda's winrates are somewhat different, but he is still top two at every Elo. <br><br>It's wild how small the minority of the playerbase is that can call Honda weak. <br>I think about him as a very strong character.

His 5MP is basically the Shotou 5HP, which if you’re willing to trust the word of British Sajam, is a move that’s good enough to make some characters(terry) top tier if they had one.

Great vid. In a game like SF6 that's so well-balanced (for the most part), it's interesting that there's such a character that is so brutal to fight at lower ranks but has very apparent problems as you get better at the game. Still, I'm always down for more variety.

And yet Honda has the highest win rate in nearly every online rank except for Grand Master.<br><br>"Indisputably bottom one" is a bold claim when Lily exists.

Honestly, some of your changes would solve all of Honda's problems. Not that I have a problem with where he is in right now, but giving him just a little push would do wonders. Very insightful video yet again!

In SF4 i played Honda. He was tournament viable. Now it feels like swimming up a waterfall playing him.
