  I’m 45 now. As a kid, this mall was a big treat! I would dream of this place, the amusement park was so magical. Such a shame to see it now. Thx for sharing

  This brings back fond memories of taking my son to fantasy land on the  weekend then going to JJ mugs for brunch.  So said to see the mall in decay

  This place was my CHILDHOOD! I remember going in the late 2000s-2010s as a child, and adored going here! It used to be soooo packed and full of life!

  When Woodbine Centre first opened it was a cutting-edge state-of-the-art shopping mall. Built with the Fantasy Fair amusement park it was the first mall in Canada with such an attraction. That was before the West Edmonton Mall indoor amusement park. Woodbine Centre was also to be linked with Woodbine Raceway physically by a monorail or moving walkway as in the mid-80s a casino, hotel and performing arts centre were planned. JJ Muggs was a highly popular restaurant/bar with nightly dancing, 8-screen Cineplex Odeon and middle to higher-end retail stores. It was a mall on-par with Sherway Gardens or Yorkdale if even for only a few years. Everything has its time and place and Woodbine Centre's best days are long since past.

  There was a store there called Clocks Unlimited there that sold grandfather clocks and other timepieces

  I went to that mall a couple years ago after going to the casino across the street and I almost walked right out lol. I didn't even make it to the amusement park lol. the only store I recognized was Foot Locker. I should have went to the amusement park to at least check it out. Thanks for the walk through Sally!

  Oh wow!  This is so incredible.  Didn't know about it....I think it's amazing but I liked the 80's😊  So sad to see it empty.   I see fun and potential but I guess kids aren't interested and neither are stores.  Sad😢😢😢  Thank you for sharing Sally!

  Thanks for the video!  I worked here in the late 90s/early 2000s and it was very busy back then.  The mall has very good bones and beautiful features still.  Of course, the owner doesn’t have the funds to upkeep the maintenance.  So there’s disrepair like paint and signs.  The mall needs a new visionary and perhaps decrease the stores and add residences.  Walmart would be an excellent anchor
