Man I would have loved to be in this group convo. I was dispensational for twenty years and then partial preterist for the last ten. I've recently published a book with a very unique take on Paul's quoting of Malachi's Jacob and Esau reference.

I enjoyed the conversation, but, unfortunately to me, it appeared the amil, postmil, and preterist panelists seemed to laughingly dismiss the Dispensational position. The dispensational position is "text-driven" and drawn from a consistent hermeneutic resulting from the plain reading of the text in its historical and grammatical context. Corey Minor made that point right out of the box. Dispensationalists do not "break up the Bible" but rather see it as ONE book with ONE continuous story embodying the "progressive" unfolding of truth (Heb 1:1-2). I would add, importantly, that we (yes, I am in the Dispensational Premil camp) do not believe that the NT reinterprets the OT. The original audiences to whom the promises were made matter, and God will fulfill His promises with that person or group. If the promise involves national Israel, then the promise will be fulfilled as given to national Israel including a literal earthly Kingdom in which Christ rules. This earthly rule of Christ also fulfills the "Kingdom Mandate" given in Genesis 1:26, 28. Where Adam failed, Christ, the Last Adam, will succeed!

Interesting discussion. One question, is Grey Gordon a full or partial preterist? I had assumed partial, but at times he hinted at being full.
