  Thank you for this informative interview. I knew Dr. Darrell Bock held to a form of Dispensation (Progressive Dispensationalism). I heard and read him articulate various aspects of the Pre-Trib/Pre-Millennial view, but I could never find him commenting on the rapture. Finally, you asked him, and he gave a basic justification of the view. Thank you, brother.

  It’s very trendy right now to embrace postmil or amil and to bash premil dispensationalism (often by mischaracterization) so I really appreciate this discussion and I hope you guys will have more people with this view on your channel.

  Read Robert Thomas' commentary on Rev.  Chronological.  "Literal".  1600 pages with notes at the end of each discussion on the Greek.

  Bock did work on the NLT which I am enjoying. I think this is important as many disp insist on KJV

  Regarding the historicity of dispensational premillinnialism, it&apos;s notable that there were two very distinct conceptions of what the earthly millennial reign would be like.<br><br>1) &nbsp;The believers who survive the Great Tribulation will enter the Kingdom as MORTALS and repopulate the world. &nbsp;The resurrected believers will rule over them as part of Jesus&apos; government. &nbsp;So you might call that the Kingdom Millennium. &nbsp;This view was described by Irenaeus in the fifth book of Against Heresy.<br><br>2) &nbsp;The believers who survive the Great Tribulation will ALSO be glorified, so there are no mortals during the millennium, no nations to rule over, and thus no kingdom as such. &nbsp;Instead, the millennium will be one giant thousand year long wedding feast. &nbsp;We&apos;ll call this the Party Millennium. &nbsp;This view was presented by Justin Martyr.<br><br>The former can be seen as a proto-dispensational view while the latter is what&apos;s generally known as historical premillinnialism. &nbsp;I know some people freak out when Irenaeus teaching a pre-trib rapture is brought up, so I think it&apos;s instructive to just look at what he taught about mortal believers entering the Kingdom since that&apos;s completely incontrovertible.

  Acts 1:6 So, when they had come together, they began asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time that You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” 7 But He said to them, “It is not for you to know periods of time or appointed times which the Father has set by His own authority; 8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.” (NASB 2020)<br><br>When Jesus was asked the direct question about EN Israel and it&apos;s kingdom, He responds with His everlasting gospel which is for the entire world, not just EN Israel (Ethnic, National, Israel).<br><br><br>Much respect for Dr. Bock but progressive dispensationalism is not &quot;progressive&quot; enough in my opinion.

  So amil teaching prevailed for most of Church history but Israel did not exist as a nation during that time. &nbsp;Is this fact ever used as a rebuttal to amillennialism?
