  Diesel engines here in the EU used to be heavily subsidised by lower diesel tax as compared to gasoline. These advantages are in the process of being abolished now and the process is additionally sped up by horrific regulations. Politics have about reached what they aimed at: killing the diesel engines at least for the consumer market!

  This video is so funny because it’s almost the same thing as today with diesel trucks. Most people I see running a diesel truck have no need for it. They just want it when a brand new gas truck with the right gear ratio and engine can tow up to 16 17, 18,000 pound fifth wheels you really don’t need a diesel anymore unless towing that weight all the time commercially.

  I knew that Diesel outboards are a niche. &nbsp;For recreational use, a diesel outboard is excessive. &nbsp;For commercial and Military markets a Diesel outboard makes sense.<br>Though I did not know about the unmanned watercraft angle.
