Special interest badges would be more helpful than name badges in social situations.

Another rule I would add, life sentence to anyone who says "stop making excuses", "I don't want to hear excuses", "you're just being dramatic", when you are explaining your emotions and/or thought process/actions/reactions to a specific event or situation. To be clear, I have met fellow ND people who DO use ND to excuse being a shitty human being knowing that most often they can get away with it, particularly in a work setting... those people can go to jail too. I'm talking for the majority who recognise and accept their genuine struggles or different ways of processing, but actively look to find ways to manage/make accommodations as a two-way street with NT people.

Perfect world, there are no excuses only explanations followed by a "help me to help you" for both ND and NT people.

What a fun concept! My friend and I were just talking about how nice it would be to live in a fully autistic world where everyone says what they mean and then you can just take it all at face value 😅😅

For me, it’s not so much that telling me a hard truth (or even something like “I don’t like that haircut”) is kindness in itself. It’s that it creates a trust that you will tell me if something is wrong or you don’t like it, so it calms the anxiety all the times you aren’t telling me something is bad. I can stop assuming that you’re just not telling me out of some misguided kindness.

I admittedly haven’t listened to the whole thing yet BUT! I would like to lobby a rule: if you introduce people you MUST say why you are introducing them! Sarah, this is Rich, you both like Marvel. Bam, no small talk needed to find why you were introduced.

You don't need to invent the wish list gift registry app - they're already out there. My ex's family did this for christmas and birthdays. The same person organised them each time. They'd ask for our wish lists, we'd email the lists to them. They'd set it up. The registry is cut into sections, for each family member. There's even a line where you can include a link, so you can be specific (and also save the person 4 hours of searching for the right thing). People don't get everything on their list of course. It's a menu to choose from. So you're ensured you get something you actually want, plus the element of surprise. It gets checked off when someone buys it so you don't get double-ups.

I think the phrase "you can come if you want" should also be added to the list of offenses that warrant prison time. If you want me there, tell me, or don't.

12:03 okay, but if you leave a party without telling anyone, please send a text saying you left and got home safe for all of your anxious friends 😅💕

17:31 - Pigeons don't "know" how to go somewhere they've never been. You would send a carrier pigeon between places they've lived. Pigeons are very good at remembering where they've lived comfortably, been fed, etc - so to send a pigeon, you and the person you want to send to would take turns caring for the pigeons, and when you want a message sent, you would tie on the message to the pigeon, and leave the door open without food in the enclosure. Then the pigeon would go to the person you want to 'send to' to look for more food, taking your message with it. Then that person would care for the pigeon until they were ready to return the message, then open the enclosure and stop feeding when they're ready to send, where the pigeon would then return to you - where it remembered being fed before. Then it would keep going like that.
You'd have more than one pigeon if you wanted to send to more than one person in your life, and you and your friends would just trade pigeons ad infinitum as long as you wanted to keep talking.

honestly I just wish we could implement a system of "be respectful of others" and not worry about specific rules, cause everyone is different
