The biggest issue with most of this is that not all of us have a legend like Rich to partner us in all of this!!!

I think one thing Rich said was important. The point of this is NOT to manipulate your person and get them to do what you want, it's working with that person's brain so that they can achieve what they want to be able to do.
This is why, if implemented right, these hacks can be used on yourself too.

I absublutely hated vacuuming until I got a cordless vacuum that stays on a charger hooked to the wall. I just pick it up and go. No hassle finding a close outlet, tripping over a cord and easy put away. Love it ❤

One thing I do, when money allows is order a takeaway for an hours time and then race the driver and clean the kitchen in that time.

My also ADHD neighbor and I were constantly forgetting our keys. We tried keeping spare keys for each other, but we'd misplace them when they were needed. Now we each have a lockbox. My key on her place, hers on mine. We can get the keys easily and if someone breaks into the box, the key won't work on that door.

Years ago I used to watch Dr. Phil religiously. I was a psych nurse and thought that he was so right-on. Then I heard him say that late people were just passive aggressive and impolite. I knew then he was full of it, because I have struggled my whole life with trying not to be and failing mightily. Turns out I was right. He is full of it and a bigot to boot.

I need to duplicate (or more) cleaning items. For example, each bathroom has its own set of cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, glass cleaner…because if I have to get it from somewhere else, it won’t get done. Even an upstairs and downstairs vacuum (Hoover) because if I have to change floors to get it before starting the task, it won’t get done. 🤷♀️

It's like always living in fight or flight mode. It's exhausting avoiding tasks.

Doing something for 2 songs is genius, because if the task isn't done after 2 songs, you are much more likely to go on for a third or even longer, and you may not even have noticed the song has restarted at all.

One hack that we try to put into practice is to help with time blindness. My husband doesn’t ask me how long it will take me to be ready. He will ask me what I need to do in order to be ready. That way he can mentally calculate how long it will take rather than me trying and failing.

Assume always, at all times wherever you are, whatever you are, that you have no memory.

I live and die by my Google calendar. The instant I make plans or an appointment, it goes in the calendar IMMEDIATELY.
And bc we all know phones must be kept on silent, so I don't hear those notifications.
What I started doing is set the reminder for the day before, and when I see the notification, I set an alarm for when I need to start getting ready for the thing.
