Movie made in bad faith by a company that doesn't respect the source material and a guy who's never even played the games, fuck Zac for this he has sold out 100%.

The biggest miscast in this movie was Raccoon City itself, It did not feel like the city at all I can't remember seeing one piece of signage or Umbrella logo around the city. Might seem like a nitpick but it's that kind of iconography that really helps build the world and make it feel like this city is owned by this corporation.

Thank goodness for you all. I left the theater on Friday, sat in my car, and literally immediately googled "Was the Resident Evil 2026 movie disapointing?" LOL. I WANTED to love that movie but it genuinely barely felt like a decent film, let alone one inspired by the RE universe. I still am confused by all of the love it is getting. I have started to wonder if the world is trolling about it LMAO.

He didn't end up making a love letter to Resident Evil, he made a love letter to the survival horror genre. As a whole I was disappointed as this movie felt SO low-effort to me.

Ill take the animated films over the live action crap. Those are canon to the games and actually have characters and stories i care about. Love those, flaws and all.

it was alright. the only thing I couldn't stand was the 5 minutes of dialogue where brian and umbrella employee are trolling.
