  I was there a couple of weeks ago mate….the staff didn’t want to be there….the chef looked about 12….the location was spot on,but the grub was Sssshhhh…ocking!!<br>80’s food done badly!!

  I have one eating out rule. If the place isn&apos;t clean, neither is the food, and I won&apos;t eat there.

  Hey gary. Former chef at a beefeater here!! It&apos;s a defrost and serve place. Even the steak come in frozen 70% of the time. It&apos;s a waste of money!! If you want some insider information message me!! Love your vids

  After spending some time in the UK I discovered in almost all these chain pub kind of places the food is absolutely shite.

  Step one: Establish a brand and build a customer base by focusing on high quality and good value.<br>Step two: Reduce quality and value (slowly, so as not to scare away your customer base)<br>Step three: Profit.<br>Pretty much every brand goes through that process of shittification. Some fast, some slower.

  As soon as I saw it was Beefeater, I knew this was going to be an unmitigated disaster. What an utter shambles. The place should be closed down and management prosecuted. If the areas visible to the public are dirty and stained, imagine what the state of the kitchen is like. Absolute criminals.

  The last few times I planned to go to a Beefeater, I was told along the lines of “Sorry but the hotel takes priority.”<br>Fine. I’ll take my business elsewhere. <br>There was a group of about 20 of us once and they wouldn’t let us pre book. We went last minute to an independent pub close by. They were more than happy to accommodate us. All of us ordered food and at least two drinks. Even under pressure, the chef brought out some fantastic food. Support the independent pubs!

  I worked in a Beefeater during the early nineties. &nbsp;When I started it was always busy, then we got Managers and an Area Manager whose sole focus was on saving money by cutting staff hours. &nbsp;Within a year it was dying. &nbsp;You simply can&apos;t give good service if you&apos;re always rushing to the next job.

  The filthy carpets would have stopped me eating there. If the public areas are that grotty, I wonder what the food prep areas are like… You’re a brave man!
