  Three golden rules broken there, Gaz. Never eat at a store opposite a major tourist attraction. Never eat at a store calling itself &quot;the Great British&quot; anything. And never eat at a store that needs someone at the front handing out fliers.

  I have a rule: A chippy advertising kebabs, chicken, pizza or anything else un-chip shop related, will invariably do terrible fish n chips.

  What annoys me is that there are hundreds of decent fish and chip shops across the country struggling to stay afloat despite offering fantastic wholesome food then you come across a shocking tourist trap like &nbsp;GREAT BRITISH FISH AND CHIPS who are raking in the money by offering utter rubbish. £4.50 for a catering sausage? They can see the tourists coming a mile away!!

  My late father used to say, with fish and chip shops, there&apos;s more bad ones than good, and the better ones are the ones down the back streets, not on the sea front

  As an Irish fishmonger for 40 years, a lover of good fish and chips, make your own. Buy fresh fish, wash it, dry it, Salt it, batter it, job done. I can absolutely promise you, that haddock has been frozen for at least a year. Let&apos;s get cooking at home folks, it&apos;s cleaner, tastier and cheaper. Love to Gary and all British fish and chip lovers from Ireland.
