Matt Damon and Ben Afflect wrote this screenplay at 21. It won an Oscar for best Screenplay and Robin Williams won the Oscar for best supporting actor that year.

I will be 63 in less than a month. When this came out I was stuck in a north Atlanta hotel for a week for classes from IBM for work. The cinema was withing and walking distance. I semi randomly picked this movie. Changed my life.

A lot of Robin Williams' dialog was improvised. Matt Damon attributes much of the film's success and its overall quality to Robin. He elevated the screenplay.<br><br>Williams was superb in "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Dead Poets Society," and "The Fisher King" as well.
