Whenever I've shown this movie to people and they ask me what it's about, I say it's about three simple things: Trust (the Vincent story), forgiveness (the Butch/Marcellus story) and mercy (the Jules story).

Jules gave up the criminal lifestyle, otherwise he would have been in the apartment with Vincent when Butch chose not to lose the fight and screw Marcellus over. Marcellus took Jules' place and was there with Vincent, but he left to pick up coffee and donuts for the two of them. So it's not a total coincidence that Marcellus was crossing the street while Butch was driving. Meanwhile, Vincent was in the bathroom and would have heard Butch moving around and using the toaster, but he assumed that Marcellus had returned, so he didn't question the noise.

When Pulp Fiction came out my elderly mother went to see it, thinking it was going to be about the magazine industry. It was not. 😅

Awhile ago someone told me and I realized that when Jules said "Marcelle Wallace don't like to be f**k by anyone except Miss Wallace" was foreshadowing.

Mia snorted the heroin thinking it was cocaine, that´s the final trigger to had the overdose (heroin can be snorted as well, but the most common way it´s like Vincent did, using a needle. Also Mia was quite drugged in that moment. Besides, she was confused ´cause heroin use to be put in balloons, however Lance didn´t have and put it in a baggie work most used for cocaine). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger).

To say that this movie was unlike any movie anybody had ever seen, is grossly understating how blown away we all were by it.
