  When Robin Williams first read the script he asked the director Gus Van Sant "Who wrote this?". Gus Van Sant said "These two kids from Boston Ben Affleck and Matt Damon". Then Robin Williams again asked "No seriously who wrote this?". Gus Van Sant responded "Seriously they wrote it". That really surprised Robin Williams. Cause there's a depth of writing in this script that usually only older more experienced writers have. Young kids don't often have this level of life experience to grasp these type of situations. God rest the soul of Robin Williams. Gone but never will he be forgotten.❤😢

  I love the fact that there are no bad guys. You talked about how much Robin William's character cared for Will, but so did the math teacher. They disagreed and fought, but the teacher also wanted the very best for Will. The characters are just flawed people living life as best they know how, and the scences were just fantastic.

  It's a really important movie. It teaches emotional intelligence, maturity, and can absolutely humble the most obnoxious person. I've seen it happen.

  That part where Robin Williams says “My wife used to fart when she was nervous” that wasn’t scripted and Matt Damon’s laugh was genuine including the cameraman’s laugh since you can see the camera visibly shaking due to laughter. One of Robin Williams brilliant masterful improvisation skills.😂

  What an amazing comment about him burying his face into her. The entire film is his ability not to deal with his own emotions, and yet after the first encounter hes burying himself into her. What a powerful statement. He's wishing for love.
