  This performance sadly cost Heath Ledger his life, however, He gave us the most iconic Joker ever portrayed on the big screen, I remember everyone talking shite about Heath being cast as the Joker inside thew web and outside of it, even some people started to collect signatures, in order to make Nolan to redo the whole movie, without Ledger on it, claiming how bad he was as an actor, &nbsp;how he would make the movie to flop, specially since Ledger was always cast in light-hearted, bubbly, happy-go-lucky movies, and how much he lacked the theatrical experience to bring to live someone as chaotic, polarizing and outright complex as the Joker.... Then the movie premiere came, and everyone who talked BS had to ate their own words<br><br>Ledger&apos;s Joker was simply outstanding, peerless, every single second of it on the screen was hypnotizing, chaotic, polarizing and utterly incredible, Heath took the Joker character and made it his own, his larger-than-life, magnus opus of acting.<br><br>Rest in peace, Heath, your legacy will live forever

  Everyone saw him shove the knife into the guy&apos;s mouth, and that’s the image that stuck with people. Was it really so hard to just move the blade ten centimeters lower and slit his throat?<br>But yeah, originally, he wasn&apos;t supposed to die. There was actually a scene towards the end where he had become Joker&apos;s puppet, but it was cut from the film—like so many other scenes.<br>Heath Ledger died six months after filming wrapped; he was working on another movie (which he didn&apos;t finish) while <b>The Dark Knight</b> was still in post-production. They had to re-edit the film and change the script on the fly because there were supposed to be three movies—a direct sequel and two standalone films featuring him—so his death forced them to make massive changes to the movie.
