The monstrous 'Look at Me!' is so jarring and shows us a glimpse of the mask slipping. I saw this in the cinema back then and everyone in the theater went silent when Joker roared it out. Peak acting. RIP Heath Ledger.

There’s something so visceral about the dialogue we’ve heard from the Joker up until the moment he yells “LOOK AT ME”. Throughout the film, Heath Ledger’s Joker speaks very quiet, but menacing. He’s not outspoken but the creepiness comes from the way he laughs through dialogue. Then, you have this scene where the only outburst (other than when he says “Hit Me”) occurs and it just sends chills throughout the audience.

Fun fact that scene of Look At Me moment were directed personally by Heath Ledger , Nolan want that moment totally look like Joker in control .
