  As a society that has transitioned into a “no shame” or accountability culture , I don’t see that happening anytime soon.  I wish more climate scientists would be as outspoken about this as you are.  You are not beholden to political or employment pressure, which allows you to keep this topic in the algorithm.  I appreciate your efforts and resilience!

Summer 2026 has been extreme here in Europe – and the situation is only getting worse: 'The climate crisis is creating increasingly dangerous conditions for wildfires around the world, as well as conditions that lead to the formation of pyrocumulonimbus clouds. 'It's not just about rising temperatures. This is full-blown climate change,' experts say. Climate models show that these trends are expected to worsen in the future.' (The Guardian) For some reason that I find really strange, no one (meaning those in power) seems to care. The only things that seem to matter are war, revenge, and the stock market!🔥

  What has largely been ignored even by climate scientists is the societal component. Things are going to get worse before they get... much, much worse. And there really is no stopping it. But all hell is going to break loose when the masses understand what climate activists are screaming from the mountaintops. I've stopped trying tell people what's coming and instead ask them to be kind (to people and nonhuman animals), to do good, to help others even if it's just leaving water out for some birds who are struggling because of us. Do good, be kind, and don't be an a-hole on the way out. 💙

  People with average intelligence are scared but won't admit it, even to themselves, also the human brain (as you will know) is adapted to face short term rather than distant threat, this is the view of Prof William Rees, who invented the term carbon footprint. My experience over many years has been that people who are prepared to speak out are at first laughed at, then ostracised, then blamed, as if they were the problem. Keep up the good work and the videos. Here in the UK there are people serving long prison sentences for speaking out, Roger Hallam, who co-started Extinction Rebellion has just published a book on his experiences.

  They say money is the root of all evil, it truly is. The only reason 35 billion tons of carbon is still going into the atmosphere every year is because it helps the people who want to fill their pockets. And as you said in a previous video "It feels as if we are in a bus and the people in power are driving us off a cliff but they have rigged the system so we cant get to the controls". We can do what we can but unless we figure out how to get to the controls of the bus, we won't fully stop this.

  Goobie &nbsp;you might be my favourite “teaching, science translating, truth-storyteller”. <br>you are understanding/passionate and a great learner/student of “life” , you are an understander of science, you are a neurosurgeon, you can interpret scientific studies and translate them for everyone. listening to you, makes facts far more digestable.
