Wish I could find someone to repair both amplifier boards for my 2080

Trying to find a replacement volume pot for my 2080. Any recommendations? Finding NOS is not likely. Are there other types/makers that work for the 2080?

I have the exact same unit STA-2080 i bought in the early 80's. My unit works perfectly as long as i put a match box under 1 of the corners. If the unit sits flat on the table i loose one of the channels. Obviously i have a bad connection on one of the boards. Can you give me an idea where im loosing the connection. Thanks Mark

I ALWAYS pick up useful information from your vids. In this case, the not-so apples/apples comparison of data sheets. I have an electronics background but not in the area of stereo/amp service. As a now-enthusiast, the more I learn the more I realize what I don't know. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Tony, there are people that whatever you may try to convey, will never be satisfied, because it just not fit their way of understanding. So try not to get into justifying, leads to nothing. I have some 35 years of experience as a repair tech and it is refreshing to see your point of view in this field. Greetings from Quebec et continue ton excellent travail !

If someone needs gear starting out. If they live in Canada or the USA i will ship them enough to get going as far as learning.

I do this with no strings attached and supply other items along with a multimeter and soldering station to get someone started. Im retired and young and buy extra gear for people who are serious about getting into electronics as a hobby.

If you read this tony and want to pin it, i have enough stuff to set 2 to 3 people up with a beginners kit i wish i had. It wont be a fluke meter but itll be something i paid close to 100 for and i have a t12 station or 2 and tons of ics and microcontrollers and leds (as i have over 100k haha) along with breadboards and perfboard along with a simple psu thats adjustable up to 24v.

My email isnt hard to find and just put the title as need gear or something and ill get back to the person immediately. I buy extra stuff to give away to anyone who cant afford to get started and theres no judgements or strings attached except for my enthusiasm to find out how i can help.

Im not lying and i believe in helping anyone i can. Ill even send a small amplifier and speakers.
