I was fat-but-fit for most of my life, and then COVID-19 hit, and that pushed me over into fat-and-sick. I really wish I got my shit together before then, but I finally did, and I've lost 130lbs so far. I still need to lose about 50 to meet my goal. Wish me luck, y'all.

<b>Key Points to Remember After You Watch The Video. (Thank Me Later):</b><br>1. Instead of just eating less food to lose weight, you can get leaner and stronger by moving your body more (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=24">0:24</a>-<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=113">1:53</a>).<br><br>2. People like elite athletes and soldiers stay fit while eating a lot of food because they do hours of hard training every single day to burn that energy off (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=114">1:54</a>-<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=128">2:08</a>).<br><br>3. Cutting food is a very fast way to save calories, but burning those same calories through exercise like walking takes much more time and hard work (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=138">2:18</a>-<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=186">3:06</a>).<br><br>4. When you only cut your food intake, your body might burn muscle for fuel; however, exercising helps you build stronger muscles and better heart health (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=209">3:29</a>-<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=250">4:10</a>).<br><br>5. Being fit is very important for your health, as being active can often be better for your heart than just focusing on being thin (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=251">4:11</a>-<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=287">4:47</a>).<br><br>6. To see if you are on the right track, look at your body in the mirror and track your muscle growth instead of just relying on the scale to give you a number (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=463">7:43</a>-<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPsvwSJhSCY&t=486">8:06</a>).<br><br>I hope I can get to 1 million subscribers soon. 💪💪💪

Three months ago I made five life changes. <br><br>• weekly calorie deficit<br>• 8000+ daily steps<br>• four 45 minute weights sessions each week<br>• 150 grams of protein daily. <br>• intermittent fast from 7pm to 2pm. <br><br>I’m down 15 lbs without any hunger. Truly life changing!

I’m 52 yrs old and in good shape. I workout with kettlebells in my garage and ride my bike. Calorie counting is brain damage, so I don’t do that. I avoid carbs before lunch and eat whole foods throughout the day. The weight loss industry over complicates everything. Be active and eat whole foods.

Both of your examples also spend a lot of time in water. A human bleeds heat into water. This increases your caloric demand just to keep your core warm.

One thing you should add to this: sleep. I recently went back to working retail again after 3 years, and just being that active for 4-5 hours per day, not even full time, 5 days per week, is brutal when you're not used to that kind of activity. Make sure to add extra rest time in the beginning period, the first 2-4 weeks, in order for your body to cope. If you are feel sleepy and tired, <b>GO TO BED!</b> Even if it's 2 hours before your regular bed time, your body needs the extra sleep to adapt. You can get back to your regular schedule when you don't feel like laying down crying.

I'm 70kg and 178cm, 42yrs old now. I wanted to compete at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 70kg (in the Gi - so needed to lose 2kg). Losing those 2kg was EXTREMELY hard for me. I ended up cutting my calories so much (best estimate is 1500/day) AND increasing my cardio (4 hours BJJ, 2x4k runs and 1x40k cycle). It did involve going to bed hungry multiple times. It did involve weighing my food. It was a fascinating journey, and I was so surprised at how determined my normal body was to hang on to that last bit of extra weight. It is evolved to do that. Once I got used to it, my digestion and sleep were better, I was literally fighting fit and felt great and I won gold in my competition bracket. Ultimately, it was unsustainable. And my all time low of 66.75kg, is now back around 70-71kg. And I just eat and train normally again. Best advice. Eat real food. Enjoy being active. Be happy and don't stress. These three things naturally live together, and all support one another. To anyone trying to lose weight, I am not overweight, but I have tried to lose weight, and I know how hard it is. Keep working at it, you'll get there.

A coworker who lost 70+ lbs said "you can't outrun your fork" - very powerful and concise phrase.
