  Have to be honest. You are less then my favorite audiophile or reviewer on you tube. I am more into 2 channel and you do desk top or headphones/a<br>DAC more. Been a while since I watch. <br>This was great!! &nbsp;Always respected your effort. And the ability to articulate info and editing in this video was top notch. 20+ minutes felt like 10. Awesome job!!<br><br>All the info was spot on. &nbsp; A lot for beginners but even pros have to start at these point and go further. <br><br>Only thing I would add is wall boundaries. Sometimes placing subs under speakers is too close to side walls. And there is distance to listening position, but that’s more for sub bass. &nbsp;For sub bass general rule is to start at the 1/3 of front wall length and keep moving out until it gets too loud. &nbsp;I went to the extreme and hung my subs from the ceiling. Optimal position achieved! lol. &nbsp;<br>For sub bass pressurization is key.

  A very good, clear, and concise explanation. I have done some of these simply by trial, and error, and can understand what you mean by the subwoofer &quot;disappearing.&quot; &nbsp;Hopefully this video will be of help to those starting out on their audio journey. In the end, people should remember that everyone&apos;s listening area is unique, so tune it by ear to get the best sound for yourself.

  Always 2 subwoofers, music or movies, for those who doubt the subwoofer, Karen Carpenter &apos;close to you&apos; a cappella intro with 2 well-calibrated subwoofers, she feels life-sized (not like Barry White) with realistic information about the size of the place where she records, not just for hip-hop

  My man…..😊 I have to say you speak my language because I truly understood all the parameters that you had offered or suggested as a guide.<br>I currently have six Klipsch 12”……. I have as you had mentioned four in the front and two at the rear.<br>Yes, I did run DIR with a professional to try to bring them all into the same continuous level without being redundant or overbearing.<br>I also would like to mention that the Front speakers or main speakers, are also Klipsch the premier version.<br>With all that being said, I’m going to take your suggestion and just make sure that everything is set the same with the four front subwoofers.<br>You mentioned something that I truly believe and understand…. You could take measurements all day long and have a reference, but the best reference is what you the person. The individual wants to hear as his reality of subwoofer experience and accuracy..<br>Again, thank you. Great job. I will look for other YouTube videos as I have subscribed to your wonderful channel.<br>Allan G😊

  Wow, very elaborate very precise thank you I’m not too much of a hands-on guy. I visit my settings. Maybe every five years. I’ve had my system for 20 years and still enjoying it. <br>Denon 3803, monitor audio speakers, Valodyne SB600.<br>Thanks.

  I am constantly amazed at the amount of clear &amp; clean sub-bass that my <b>DeVore Fidelity - &apos;O/93&apos;</b> floorstanders can produce in my 5.5m x 3m listening room that is pretty-much suck-out zone free 👍&amp; so I never feel like I need a sub...ever! And this is because most of the music that I listen to, &amp; how it was recorded, has only very occasional sub-bass signal in it. There has to be a decent amount of sub-bass recorded in your music for your subs to actually be of benefit. I use a pair of <b>ALPINE - &apos;SWS-BE45&apos;</b> bass engines attached to a 2mm thick mild steel plate on the underside of my sweet-spot on my sofa. This gives me any sub-bass directly into my body. A lot of listeners find that the best place for your subs are either right behind, or directly on the sides of your sweet-spot <b>AND</b> on open, steel-framed stands holding your subs roughly 12&quot; off the ground. Others like to do the &apos;subwoofer-crawl&apos; finding the suck-out points in the room &amp; place their subs in those positions. As with all things home-audio, it&apos;s personal preference &amp; subjective. Have fun finding out what suits you 😁

  For the phase thing, I used a smiple dB meter on my phone, and put it where I sit. I turned the volume up and played a test tone around where the crossover frequency is and checked the level on the db meter, went and swapped the phase and checked again, and it was a few dB louder, and it was also quite evident from just listening.<br><br>I used the test tone to avoid the varying volume of the rest of the sounds in a song.

  Great video on this subject ! I couldn&apos;t agree more with the goal of &quot;not noticeable&quot; until you switch them off. &nbsp;I usually start with the &nbsp;lowest possible LP frequency attempting to just barely fill the low end gap. After decades of experimentation my personal listening preference are tube amps for main speakers, teamed up with passive Stereo subwoofers powered by Crown XLS (Class D, active crossover). I liked the tubes / sub combo so much that I ended up with 3 similar setups throughout the house.
