  Great advise. However, most of this works great if you have a dedicated sound room, or if you have a large room with no boundaries. Unfortunately, unless you have a McMansion, you are stuck with what you have in addition to the "please the wife factor". In my room, I would love to pull the speaker 2-3 ft from the wall, but then I'd have to tear down the wall behind my couch so I could have that luxury. I have a 100" TV flanked by 2 large 12" subs and 2 large floor standing speakers-in a small room that I dedicated as my HT. It's a rectangular shape, however due to the size constraints of the gear I have, I have everything positioned on the longest wall. Overkill? Yes. But so is raising your truck 6" and putting 40" MT Swampers on it. I believe calibrating your speakers all at 75 to 85db, adjusting speaker distances (via pre/pro) and using your receiver/processors EQ setup parameters and adjusting them as necessary can help ( tremendously ) if you have space constraints.

  I adjusted my speakers to have LESS TOE IN and Wow! The result was AWESOME! Gave my 2 channel system a wider sound stage and helped make my speakers dissapear a little more, it also separated the music instruments better. I also moved my subwoofer from between the speakers and placed it in the corner, that increased the bass output substantially in the room and still actually blended nicely with my floor standing speakers. I do enjoy a little bass heavy sound, and with Subwoofer in the corner next to one speaker it really makes a nice impact.<br>Thanks for your helpfull video. I&apos;m enjoying my system more now.

  Nice video! I have a fairly small room 13&apos;Wx25&apos;Lx7.5H. I have played around with speaker and settings position for many years on and off. The difference it makes is absolutely huge! Ive found a few places where they work great and in my case i cannot place the speakers closer than 5ft from the front wall and ive had them as far out as 9.5ft from the front wall. My biggest problem in my room is the side walls

  Before proper placement, I could easily hear the difference between Tidal and Spotify, or between my AVR and an amp costing twice as much—yet the sound always felt a bit laid-back, with bass on the muddy side.<br>Then I tried something simple: pulled the speakers forward by another 7 inches and used a laser pointer to aim them directly at my main listening position. The effect was instant—soundstage opened up, mids came alive, and bass got better (not as tight as i want as its still sub-dependent ) it didnt sound laidback anymore.<br>Now, swapping sources or amps barely changes the character. The cheapest tweak—speaker placement—ended up being the best upgrade in my setup.

  One rule is a truly genius!!!! 0.618 of distance from you to speakers, this is a gold ratio that I will try to include in my future new audio system (which I&apos;ll purchase in the next months). Frankly I was using the equilateral tr rule, but this golden ration, i&apos;ve gotta try it! Thanks for the video and advices!
